Speaker verification with sequential decision on a speaker specific vocabulary
نویسندگان
چکیده
The speaker veri:fication technique was evaluated with over 5000 words from 13 speakers employing telephone handsets and accessing a verification simulation over the switched telephone network. A total of 977 verifi.cation attempts and 21421 impersonation attempts was simulated. A false acceptance rate of 0.1% was attained after an average of 1.2 words input. The same conditions gave rise to a false rejection rate of 0.5% after an average of 2 words input. The above results are significantly degraded if the prompted words are selected at random from the entire training vocabulary and not according to their power to discriminate among the enrolled speakers.

Using Exciting and Spectral Envelope Information and Matrix Quantization for Improvement of the Speaker Verification Systems
Speaker verification from talking a few words of sentences has many applications. Many methods as DTW, HMM, VQ and MQ can be used for speaker verification. We applied MQ for its precise, reliable and robust performance with computational simplicity. We also used pitch frequency and log gain contour for further improvement of the system performance.
متن کاملA Context-Dependent Sequential Decision for Speaker Verification
This paper presents an improved method of speaker verification using the sequential probability ratio test (SPRT), which can treat the correlation between successive feature vectors. The hidden Markov model with the mean field approximation enables us to consider the correlation in the SPRT, i.e., using the mean field of previous state, probability computation can be carried out as if input sam...

متن کاملSequential decisions for faster and more flexible verification
Most speaker verification systems wait to collect a complete utterance from a speaker before making a decision. Faster verification can be achieved if decisions are made sequentially on smaller “chunks” of data. In this paper we present a sequential decision making algorithm in a connected digit application and discuss its properties. We show that sequential decisions, apart from requiring shor...
متن کاملThe CSLU speaker recognition corpus
This paper describes the CSLU Speaker Recognition Corpus data collection. The corpus was motivated by a need for speech data from many speakers, under different environmental conditions, with each speaker providing data over a significant period of time. The corpus was designed to provide sufficient data to study phonetic variability within and across sessions, and to design and evaluate system...
